About the Author

N. King Huber (1926-2007), Ph.D. Geologist Emeritus with the U.S. Geological Survey, mapped and studied the geology of the central Sierra Nevada for more than forty years. He wrote The Geologic Story of Yosemite National Park, compiled the geologic map of the park, and authored several works on the geology of specific Sierra locations.
