Come visit local authors Robert E. Johnson and Janet Byron at Mrs. Dalloway’s Bookstore on Thursday, August 31st.
The co-authors of the new, extensively revised, and updated edition of Berkeley Walks, will test your knowledge of Berkeley history, geography, and ephemera. A local bestseller, Berkeley Walks features 21 self-guided walking tours of Berkeley neighborhoods from North to South Berkeley and the Berkeley Hills to the Marina.
Their presentation will include a slideshow and a fun Berkeley Walks Trivia Quiz with 20 questions about things you’ll learn in Berkeley Walks, including history, points of interest, geography, and more. There will be prizes too!
They will sign copies of their book afterward.
Register HereJanet L. Byron moved to California from New York in 1989 to attend the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. The first walking guide she purchased was Heyday founder Malcolm Margolin’s East Bay Out, and it introduced her to the joys of exploring nature (and cities) by foot. She has subsequently led walks for numerous local groups and served on the boards of Greenbelt Alliance and Berkeley Path Wanderers Association. Photo credit: Steve Price.
