The Friends of the Lafayette Library welcomes Susan Snyder, the head of public service at the Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley. For over 20 years, it has been Snyder’s job to explore the library’s stacks, attics, and moats, and she has uncovered an amazing treasure of historical photographs images which she has lovingly and intelligently organized into several books. Snyder will describe the process of finding the images, placing them in a historical context, and organizing them into books. Special attention will be given to her most recent book, Beyond Words.

Free and open to the public; for more information visit friendsoflafayettelibrary.org/treasures-of-the-bancroft-library.
