Jeremy Rosenberg, author of Under Spring, will host an evening of entertainment featuring Dr. Amy Converse: Department Chair of Art History at Woodbury University; independent curator specializing in Latin America; Ruben Mendoza: L.A.-based writer/rhetorician and educator completing doctoral work at UCR around critical arts-based teaching; Phuong-Cac Nguyen as The Reader: Researcher journalist and director of the film, “South American Cholo”; Robyn Simms as The Countess: A big personality in a small package, she’s played Theater of Note, Second City, Acme, Fake Gallery; Mike Sonksen, a.k.a. Mike The Poet: Third-generation L.A. native acclaimed for poetry performances, published articles, and mentoring young writers.
