Maestrapeace Benefit

You are invited to a special gathering at the home of Gretchen and Richard Evans, to support the upcoming book on the MAESTRAPEACE murals that vibrantly illuminate the walls of the San Francisco Women’s Building. These murals are a jewel of the Mission District, a historic treasure on a National Heritage Building, beloved by the surrounding community, and a magnet for thousands of visitors from all over the world. Activist, author, and educator Angela Davis will write the opening essay. The coffee table art book will be published by Heyday Books in Berkeley, publisher of Dick Evans’ very popular Mission photography book.

Come meet the seven women muralists, enjoy the poetry of Leticia Hernández and the music of singer, guitarist Diana Gameros. Share refreshments and a taste of the Mission, catered by local artisanal chefs. Your donation of $250 will be matched by an anonymous donor, so your support will be doubled in this effort! Each attending donor will also receive a unique, mountable print of a detail of the MAESTRAPEACE Mural, as photographed by Dick Evans.

Kindly RSVP to by July 11.
